The Camp
Sean Pravica
Morning. Shadows shifting glacially against the rock face beyond his camp. The wind breaking against his jacket, whipping his tarp. The fire burning, a crackle like footsteps over broken earth.
A couple passed. They looked at him but he did not return their attention.
Each day farther, closer, to home.
